History

1987 The Parkhotel Zug opens with 84
        rooms.
1990 The hotel is extended to include
        28 hotel rooms in the neighboring
        Résidence. Hotel guests are given
        access to the Résidence swimming
        pool.
1994 The hotel is taken over by the
        Parkhotel Zug AG – a corporation
        specially formed for the purpose
        and part of the Metall Zug Group.
1996 The conference and seminar
        offerings are expanded significantly
        with the opening of the Congress
        Center Metalli Zug (CCMZ).
1998 The restaurant is completely
        renovated.
2003
& '04 All rooms in the main hotel building
        are updated during general
        renovations.
2005 Web presence and logo are
        modernized.
2007 The hotel lobby and reception are
        renovated. At the same time, the
        kitchen is completely renovated.
2010 Parkhotel Zug AG is renamed
        Hotelbusiness Zug AG to reflect
        the addition of the Parkhotel’s sister
        hotel City Garden, the CU
        Restaurant, the opening of a total
        of 49 Serviced City Apartments on
        the nearby Haldenstrasse as well
        as the takeover of the
        gastronomical facilities of the
        Theater Casino Zug and the
        Restaurant Bären in Zug.
2010
& '11 The entire ground floor in the main
        building is renovated from top to
        bottom in order to give the hotel
        lobby, Living Room, reception,
        the banquet rooms as well as the
        Parkhotel Restaurant and the 
        Smoker’s Lounge an attractive
        new unified appearance.
